"Ye Olde Shelle Game"

Synopsis: The Frost Giants as well as the news crew arrive to the battle site, only to find a giant circle of mystic flames.  The Giants venture inside and see a vision of Thor battling Mephisto, which then quickly vanishes.  They see the Avengers lying unconscious on the ground, and amongst them, Thor's armor.  They realize that Thor is still inside, reduced to a puddle of jellified flesh.  Suddenly a cold wind blows through the circle and the Giants run outside it.  But the mortals in the area, the news crew and the Avengers, have lost their memory of why they are there and leave.  Unaware that they are leaving Thor behind to the mercy of the Giants.  They proceed to beat on the body, enjoying the fact that he can't fight back, but Loki has other ideas.  He lures Siggorth over near a pool of metal resulting in a blinding flash.  The Destroyer has returned, and begins to live up to his name.  In Asgard, Kevin and Mick give the water of life to Balder which revives him.  They go to Hlidskjalf to see if they can spot the culprit, and spy Utgard-Loki planning to attack Asgard.  Back on Earth, Loki is enjoying watching the Destroyer try to destroy the unkillable Thor, and leaves.  But then the Destroyer stops, realizing that he has finally found an undying spirit, and attempts to absorb it.  But though is body is useless, Thor's spirit is unbowed, and begins to battle the Destroyer for control.  On the mortal plane, the Destroyer reaches down and puts on Thor's cape, belt, wings, and then using Mjolnir, teleports away.

"Journey Into Mystery"

Synopsis: In Hel, Loki is visiting his daughter, discussing the recent events with Thor.  The Destroyer, inhabited by Thor, blasts his way into Hel.  In Asgard, Balder and the others are discussing the pending attack by the Frost Giants when a deafening roar heralds that they have already arrived.  Balder tries to bluff the Giants into making them think that he can still generate his light powers, but he is still too weak and they call his bluff.  Kurse, Volstagg, and the children help fight the Giants but there are just too many of them.  In Hel, the Destroyer has finally overcome Thor's control and begins to destroy indiscriminately.  Hela fails to fight him off, and tries one last desperate gambit.  She brings Thor's body to Hel and restores him completely in the hopes of killing him to stop the rampage.  The Destroyer grabs the body, and laughs out loud in joy.  Thor never lost control, and he's taught Hela a lesson.  Thor returns to his own body and simultaneously encases the Destroyer in a giant unbreakable crystal so no one can get near it again.  Thor then heads to Asgard to stop the Giants.  Meanwhile, Hela releases  Skurge to Valhalla, impressed with his nobility.  Thor arrives and smashes through the Frost Giants easily.  He stays his hand, however, when Utgard-Loki promises to use his magics to restore the Asgardians, in return for safe passage back to Jotunheim.  Later, Thor visits a brooding Loki in his castle, to discuss debts to each other.  But to teach the trickster a lesson, Thor breaks his arm.

"This Secret Love"

"Who Shall Be Worthy"

Synopsis: September 4, 2537.  Dargo and Salla are hiding from a Corp Tracker, avoiding it so they can get to their secret meeting.  A meeting of the faithful to see who among them is worthy to wield the sacred hammer found embedded in stone a couple of hundred years before.  One of the strongest men steps forward, only to fail, like so many before him.  The next morning, the Chairman of the Corp, meets his 9:15 appointment.  A sinister looking man who is willing to wipe out these rebels for his own reasons – Loki Loki and Tyrus the Terrible have located the secret cult and begin to wipe it out with their army of Rock Trolls Dargo instinctively reaches for some kind of weapon and grabs Mjolnir, unleashing its power, granting him the power of Thor.  Using the power of the thunder god, Dargo easily defeats the Rock Trolls, hurling them all away.  The followers gather around him, wanting him to save them.  He flies off and lands on a nearby building.  Mjolnir, sensing this is not the true Thor, tries to pull away from his grasp, but he stamps it on the ground, transforming back.  The next day, the Corp workers head out to protest, and fight the Corp, only to find themselves surrounded.  Dargo once more changes to Thor, and begins to rip into the Corp soldiers and Rock Trolls Tyrus leaps to the attack, and tells Dargo that he knows he’s not the real Thor.  In the midst of battle, Mjolnir once again pulls away from Dargo Tyrus tells him that Thor is in a place where none can reach him, and he can’t free himself without his hammer.  Dargo finally defeats Tyrus, and Loki tires of the Chairman’s whining, destroys him and the entire Corp Central with him.  With all their enemies defeated, Dargo opens a dimensional portal, and hurls Mjolnir through, sending it to it’s true master.  With the Corp destroyed, the workers can finally be free

"When Warriors Clash"

Synopsis:  Thor goes on one final quest before returning to Earth.  He follows a griffin-like creature through a portal to Avalon.  There he battles Leir after a misunderstanding until Leir spots the creature as well.  With the help of Hogun, they drive the creature back to Asgard, where it is defeated by Fandral and VolstaggThor goes to leave for Earth, but the warning comes too late.  Asgard is adrift without Bifrost to anchor it, and Thor has transported himself into the depths of airless space.

Significant Events:  Thor goes back to his regular costume, 1st appearance of Leir, 1st appearance of Targo

"Judgment Day"

Synopsis:  Thor crashes on Pangoria, a planet under the absolute control of Pegas.  But even Pegas is helpless before the might of Arishem the Celestial judge.  Thor and Pegas’ forces try to fight back to no avail, until they understand the bigger threat – Exitar!  Meanwhile, Balder is attacked by the minions of Demons of Death.

"When the Thunder Fails"

Synopsis:  Thor continues to battle on inside Exitar.  But without Mjolnir, all he can do is hurl himself at the Celestial’s brain.  On Pangoria, Pegas enacts his plan to escape, while Myla stays behind.  Inside the Celestial, Exitar begins to sort through Thor’s memories and study him, before spitting him out.  Arishem and Exitar enact their judgment, destroying the harmful elements, while sparing the worthy ones.  A Replicoid then appears, restores Thor’s health as well as Mjolnir, then transports him to Earth.  In Asgard, the Demons of Death begin their assault.

"The Hero and the Hammer"

Synopsis:  Thor arrives on Hydrobase, and learns of the many changes to the Avengers.  Asgard is once again attacked by Seth’s legions, while Grog and more Demons of Death attack Thor and the Captain.  During the battle, the Captain lifts Mjolnir and sends it back to Thor’s grasp.  Thor then easily defeats Grog and the soldiers, sending them back through the gate.

Significant Events:  Captain [America] lifts Mjolnir, 1st appearance of Grog
