"The Wall Around the World!"

Synopsis: Thor and his comrades attempt to breach the enormous wall around the Doomsday Star, to no avail. Back in Asgard, a cloaked figure watches them, along with Balder and Karnilla with great interest. While he is watching, they vanish in the blink of an eye. The second Thor shows Balder that the Enchantress and Executioner where phantasms, but Karnilla senses something is wrong. When Thor and friends come to, the Starjammer is gone and they are standing in a city behind the wall they sought to breach. They are attacked by robotic Techno trackers, and during the battle, Hogun, Volstagg, and Recorder are separated from Thor, Sif, and Fandral. Thor hurls Mjolnir, but for some reason it does not return to him. Fandral is knocked out and Sif is captured. While Thor is distracted, a blast knocks him out. When he comes to, he is greeted by the Soul Survivors who tell him they are sworn to worship him.

"Even An Immortal Can Die!"

Significant Events: Origin of the Doomsday Star and the Soul Survivors
Synopsis: Thor tries to free himself from his bonds, but cannot. The Soul Survivors tell him the origin of themselves and of the Doomsday Star. That they are the ones that intercepted Odin. They then take Thor's group to see him. They are using Odin as a battery and they have almost drained him dry. Back in Asgard, the second Thor leads Balder and Karnilla into Asgard, then assaults them. Thor is speaking to a very weak Odin, when Odin apparently dies. In his rage, Thor begins to tear through all the Techno-trackers with ease, as Hogun, Volstagg, and Recorder arrive. With nothing else to do, K'rll places himself in the Spirit Mold and gives form to the remaining Odinpower still in the batteries, creating a beast made of pure Odinforce

"Holocaust and Homecoming"

Synopsis: K'rll begins attacking the Asgardians through the Odin beast. He knocks them all down, and all that's left is Volstagg. When the Odin beast moves towards him, a blast of pure force shoots from his hands, hurting the beast. Fighting Volstagg's new power, the beast uses itself up and dissipates, which causes feedback through the Soul Survivors systems, destroying them. Thor then has Volstagg apply his powers to try and revive Odin, to no avail. Then K'rll runs in screaming about how the Asgardians have destroyed everything and he will kill them all. Thor grabs him and is about to begin pounding on him, when Mjolnir suddenly flies into his hand. He then realizes that Odin is alive. Odin tells them that it is time to go home, then passes into the Odinsleep. They board the Starjammer and head home. Hogun asks Thor about Volstagg's new power, and Thor tells him that Odin must have passed the last of his power to Volstagg before he died, knowing that it could revive him. After finally arriving home, Thor takes Odin's sleeping form to the royal bedchamber, then one of the guards tells him that he is summoned to the throne room. There he finds the Enchantress and the Executioner, and on the throne is Loki.

"Thou Shalt Have No Other Gods Before Me!"

Synopsis: Loki now rules Asgard in Odin's stead, by his own royal decree contained in the Cask of Sovereignty, and even Thor must obey him. Loki knows that he must dispose of Odin if he wants to keep the throne. Loki then reveals that he was behind the empty army, and that Kroda was the second Thor, and that the document from the Cask was a forgery. The Enchantress and Executioner steal the sleeping form of Odin. Sif, Thor, and Recorder head to Karnilla's domain to find Balder, while the Warriors Three are charged to protect Odin. Thor's group in then assaulted by two Storm Giants, and Thor defeats them both. When they arrive, Karnilla tells them that Balder did not come back with her. The Warriors Three find the Enchantress and Executioner, but before they can be forced to talk, the Enchantress trips over Hogun's dagger, causing them both to fall into the firepits. A dagger which Loki mystically caused to be moved into her way. Thor then storms into the Royal Throne room, demanding to know where Balder is. Loki then disappears and the Destroyer comes crashing through the wall.

"When Falls the God of Thunder"

Significant Events: Loki stole Destroyer from Galactus
Synopsis: An image of Loki reveals that he stole the Destroyer from Galactus' ship. The Destroyer then begins attacking Thor, and crash through walls and floors, then the Warriors Three arrive to help Thor. Thor sends them back out to find the sleeping Odin, and they come across Kroda, Magrat, and Snaykar, and they follow them silently. Karnilla and Sif arrive to help Thor, but Karnilla discovers that she cannot continue her mystical attack, because it is Balder that is inside the Destroyer.

"...So Falls the Realm Eternal!"

Synopsis: Loki is rejoicing that Karnilla has ceased her attack, and Odin is hidden in the cavern containing the mists of morpheus, so there is no one left to stop him. But Karnilla vanishes, and appears behind Loki and begins attacking him. Elsewhere, Snaykar, Kroda, and Magrat have unwittingly led the Warriors Three to Odin's hidden chamber. They easily dispatch the henchmen. Karnilla steals the body of Balder, and goes to try to reunite it with his spirit, but Loki has followed her and strikes her down. The Destroyer, seeing Loki standing over Karnilla, begins to move towards him. Loki has no choice now, but to remove Balder's spirit, and then decides to enter it himself. But Thor tackles him and they begin to tumble, and it is Thor that ends up inside the Destroyer. The Destroyer then begins to lower his visor, about to annihilate Loki, when Odin appears and commands the Destroyer to kneel. Slowly it does, and Odin releases Thor from it.

"Once More, To Midgard!"

Synopsis: Balder is leading the construction of Odin's Pillar of Sovereignty, but one of the cables snaps, threatening to kill many. But Thor swiftly saves the day and finishes setting the pillar. In punishment, Loki is cast down to Earth without memory. All the heroes bid farewell, while Thor heads to Earth. Blake goes to see Jacob Wallaby, to get an idea of what he might do. Jacob suggests that he volunteer at a free clinic, if he needs freedom of movement. Then Damocles breaks in and steals a synthetic cobalt lent to the hospital by Stark International. Blake changes to Thor and gives pursuit, but Damocles launches a missile at the city, which distracts Thor long enough for him to escape.

"Death, Thy Name Is Brother!"

Synopsis: Don Blake is walking through the rain, when a police officer pulls up and tells him that he needs to get in touch with Thor, that the Commissioner wants to see him. When Thor arrives, he meets Bennet Barlow, Damocles' brother. Bennet tells Thor their history. Meanwhile, Damocles oversees the final construction of his cobalt cannon. And in a prison, a mysterious figure is broken out by a monstrous inhuman creature. Bennet is leading Thor to his old home in hope of finding a clue to Damocles' current whereabouts. But Damocles is waiting with his completed cobalt cannon, and blasts Thor, then flies away. Bennet brings Thor back around, and when Thor mentions that Damocles stole synthetic cobalt for the cannon, Bennet tells Thor that it is unstable and if it explodes could take New York with it. They find Damocles and crew robbing a bank, as Damocles is about to fire on Thor, Bennet picks up a gun and shoots Damocles killing him. Thor uses Mjolnir to transport the cannon out to space, where it explodes harmlessly.

"A Walk On the Wild Side!"

Synopsis: Thor is reading the paper at a newsstand, when his fans start to mob him for autographs. Elsewhere, the monstrous figure from last issue and a mysterious figure address the former prisoner, and return to him an adamantium replica of his former costume - Stilt-Man. Stilt-Man then attacks a helicopter in mid air and after incapacitating the two pilots, steals a heavily armored box, leaving the helicopter to crash. Thor manages to save them, and they tell him about Stilt-Man. Back in Asgard, the Warriors Three return with the captured Magrat, Kroda, and Snaykar. Odin congratulates them, then tells them that he has another task for them. Thor catches up to Stilt-Man, and while they battle, their conflict is watched back at the mysterious figure's complex. Stilt-Man suddenly loses control of his armor, and Thor, using a lightning strike, brings him to a halt. But before Thor can do anything, he is struck from behind by Blastaar, and he loses his hammer.

"Minute of Madness - Dark Day of Doom!"

Synopsis: Blastaar attacks Thor relentlessly, and blasts him into an alley, just as the 60th second passes. Blastaar enters the alley to find Don Blake, who tells him that Thor ran over the fence. After retrieving his cane from a street gang, and questioning Stilt-Man, Thor heads to see Tony Stark to get some help. Blastaar and his new master FAUST, recall their past, while Thor approaches after learning of them. Blastaar races out to fight Thor, while FAUST betrays Blastaar, by launching itself in a ship, into orbit. Blastaar flees into a portal that takes him back to the Negative Zone, leaving Thor to ponder what FAUST is up to.
