Synopsis:  In the Third Age of Ragnarok, before Heimdall was appointed guardian of Bifrost, the Frost Giants attacked.  During the battle, one of the Frost Giants felled by Thor crashed and destroyed part of Asgard’s wall.  Later, Idunn gathered more of the golden apples feasted upon by the gods, which kept them young and strong, except for Thor.  He would horde his until days when he would need them, such as battle.  One day, a simple mason came up Bifrost with an offer, he would repair the legendary wall, in exchange for taking Idunn as his bride.  The gods agreed to the deal, believing that the mason by himself would never be able to rebuild it within the six months agreed upon.  One day short of the six months, the mason was about to finish the wall.  Odin’s anger was unparalleled.  He commanded Loki to fix the problem, or he would bind him to a rock.  That evening, Loki changed himself into the shape of a mare, and lured the mason’s horse away, so that he was unable to complete the wall in time, with only three stones remaining.  The next morning, Odin informed him that there were three stones unfilled, so he had failed.  The mason was enraged that he had been cheated by Loki and the rest of the gods, and in his anger, lost his shape to that of his true form, a Frost Giant.  As the Frost Giant began to attack the gods, Thor returned from hunting Frost Giants, and killed himself another one with one blow.

In the eleventh era of Ragnarok, Loki has once again been cast out from the gods.  Mad from hunger and cold, he came across a tree and found a small dead animal, frozen to death.  As he began to gather wood for a fire, an eagle began taunting him, until Loki fell down from exhaustion.  The eagle promised him he would feed him for 100 days, give him his weight in treasure, and fly him to the end of Bifrost in exchange for one thing, Idunn Loki told Idunn that he had found golden apples in Muspel, that were surely meant for her.  She goes with him, only to find herself trapped by a Frost Giant yet again, who wants her for his bride.  Without Idunn to pick the apples, the gods began to waste away, and went to Thor, who is known to have hoarded his apples.  Thor denied them, and they began to argue with one another until Heimdall confirmed that he saw Idunn last with Loki Loki returned to the land of the Frost Giant and stole into his castle.  Inside, he found Idunn and grabbed her and ran.  But before they were caught again, Thor arrived in time to save them both.  After returning Idunn to Asgard to where she could restore all the gods vigor, Thor began to return to his home.  Odin bade him stay and enjoy the celebration, but Thor told him that he was in no mood to have a tea party, and left.

Synopsis: In the 23rd era of Ragnarok, snow and ice have fallen endlessly since the Asgardians slew the her father.  So the Ice Giantess has sent the cold to them.  Odin has hated her for many many years.  When he was a younger man, he came across her lying in a glade and wanted to lay with her.  She told him to come back at moonrise because her father must never know.  But when he returned later, it was only into a trap where her brothers attacked him.  He slew her brothers and then saw a goat that she left for him in her absence.  Odin then tells them that she is to come to him and name her demands and he will listen.  She demands a rare treasure from the dwarves to end the cold.  So they send Loki to deliver the message to them.  The three dwarves decide to create three exquisite treasures: a golden armband that yields nine gold coins when struck, an intricately woven necklace, and a sword that kills giants with a touch.  Loki decides to make it interesting and says that they will make a bet, and if Odin chooses the necklace, Loki will get the other two treasures.  They agree, but if Odin chooses the sword, they get to cut off Loki's head.  A week later they return with the treasures, and Odin, after hearing the description of each, promptly chooses the sword and kills the Ice Giantess with it.  With her death, the sun immediately begins to return.  They went to claim Loki's head, but he told them they can have it but cannot take any of his neck, so they left.  But the necklace had caught the eye of the Enchantress.  She went to the dwarves and had to have the necklace, so she gave herself to them in exchange for it.  When she returned to Asgard with it, Loki made mention of how could she have come by such a thing.  Odin, in his rage, took it from her, calling her a tramp and trollip.  The Enchantress then made a curse that the dead plague the Earth until they are all killed again.  As the sky rained blood, and army of all the men who had ever died clawed their was up.  Thor rode to Earth in his chariot drawn by his eight steeds, and began to fight back the tide of the dead.  An Alchemist has prepared a thing of magic, a Blood Colossus, to help fight back the endless army of the dead, but his magic is not enough.  He has infused it with mud and the blood of sacrifices, but he needs lightning, so Thor has come.  As Thor sank into the mud of the Blood Colossus, he asked of them one thing, do not eat his steeds when they fall.  And as the lightning struck it, the Blood Colossus rose to terrible life.  As the Blood Colossus strode across Midgard, smashing the dead for forty days and nights, until they were all dead again.  As it was done, and the blood changed back to rain, washing away the Blood Colossus, Thor rose and asked of his steeds.  The Alchemist told him that they were hungry and it had been forty days without food, they ate them.  Thor took their bones back to Asgard, and using arcane magics, summoned them all back as one - Sleipnir.  Riding his new mighty eight-legged steed, he rode back down to Midgard to make man pay for his folly.
