MARVEL VALUE STAMPS

These were "stamps" that were put in various Marvel comic books.  Unfortunately, people tended to cut them out, which makes the book itself worth less.  There was also a book you could send away for to put them in.  All images and information are courtesy of The Marvel Value Stamp site, an awesomely put together site dedicated to these little things.
