"The Power of the Thunder God"

Synopsis: Thor tries to keep Jane safe while fending off Cobra and Hyde. Thor is hard pressed to stop them with thier powers increased by Loki. In Asgard, Odin is still against Thor loving Jane, but he doesn't want Jane to die, so he tells Loki to go to Hardol for a potion. Balder and the others don't trust Loki, so Balder takes the message. Thor manages to flip Hyde into one of their own traps, which paralyzes him. Thor then causes an electrical current to go throughout the house, taking care of Cobra. Balder faces multiple dangers on the path to Hardol, but finally wins through, barely in time to save Jane.

"Thor Battles the Incredible Hulk"
Tales of Asgard - "The Coming of Loki"

Significant Events: Origin of Loki
Synopsis:
Thor overhears some
children arguing about who is stronger -
Thor or
Hulk. He then tells them of the time that
he fought Hulk one on
one. He and Hulk
had become separated from the others.
Thor then asked
Odin for five minutes in which he could retain
his power without Mjolnir,
which is granted. They battle back and forth, neither gaining a real
advantage. During their battle, the tunnel collapses, separating them.
Thor finds his way back
to the others in time to meet up with them and have
Hulk and Namor escape. He then tells the
children that there was no decisive victor, but it's not the greatest power that
matters, it's how you use that power.

"A World Gone Mad!"

Synopsis:
Thor returns to Earth
and decides to renounce his godly heritage, and tell
Jane everything
so he can marry her. Elsewhere, two museum curators are examining
something discovered at the bottom of the Hudson. Only it's the
Grey Gargoyle.
He turns the men to stone, then flees. In
Asgard,
Odin has witnessed what
Thor has done, and removes his powers entirely.
When Blake
tries to change, nothing happens. Just then,
Grey Gargoyle
breaks in, wanting to know where
Thor is. Balder
and the other Asgardians
plan to help Thor, but
with him now being in Odin's
favor, Loki stops them,
except for
one. The
Grey Gargoyle continues to chase
Jane and
Don
throughout the city, until that
Asgardian grants
Blake
the power of Thor for
30 seconds. Thor
fuses Grey Gargoyle's
mass together so he cannot, move, then transforms back.
Honir
then returns to Odin,
where Odin decides that
Thor shall keep his
power.

"The Stronger I Am, the Sooner I Die!"

Synopsis:
Thor captures an
enemy agent,
while Loki once again
tries to stop him and fails.
Loki then decides to grant power to someone
else. He then mystically puts a potion in
Crusher Creel's drink in prison, creating the
Absorbing Man.
Harris Hobbs,
visiting
Blake as a patient, tells him about the escaped con with superpowers.
Blake
then changes to Thor,
and flies off to investigate. He comes across
Crusher, and
finds out his power.
Crusher manages to beat
Thor down, then begins on a spree of terror.
Thor manages to catch
up to him, and they battle for hour upon hour, until
Balder interferes. He transports
Thor to
Asgard,
leaving Crusher
on Earth. Balder
tells Thor that
Loki has kidnapped
Jane.
Crusher heads
towards a house
to make plans, believing that he made
Thor flee.
Thor heads off to confront
Loki and free
Jane.

April 1965
"The Vengeance of the Thunder God"
Tales of Asgard - "A Viper in Our Midst!"

Synopsis:
Thor has found
Loki and begins
attacking relentlessly.
Crusher takes a
couple
hostage in their home. Odin
interrupts the battle between Thor
and Loki and seeing
Jane in
Asgard, orders
the Trial of
the Gods. Thor
asks, and is granted, 48 hours to return
Jane to Earth and capture
Crusher.
Thor catches up to the
cops as
they are surrounding the house he's in.
Hobbs
goes in and tricks Crusher
into coming out, where he's attacked by
Thor.
Creel absorbs all the properties of the Earth,
which Thor then
transmutes to helium by using
Mjolnir. After checking on
Jane,
Thor then returns to
Asgard.

"The Trial of the Gods!"

Synopsis:
Thor and
Loki are transported to
Skornheim
for the Trial
of the Gods. But beforehand,
Loki persuaded
Enchantress and
Executioner to kidnap
Jane, so
Thor would be
distracted. Loki
then proceeds to cheat his way to victory by using the enchanted
Norn Stones.
They get through a few obstacles, but then come across
Yagg.
Back in Asgard,
Balder makes
Odin aware of
Loki's treachery.
Odin then sends
Balder to rescue
Jane.
Loki uses the
stones to
fly out of range of
Yagg's blasts, but Thor
throws a fragment of petrified rock with enough force to fell
Yagg in one
blow. Thor barely
catches up to Loki, but
it is too late. Loki
enters the portal to
Asgard first and wins the
Trial of the Gods.

June 1965
"Into the Blaze of Battle"

Synopsis:
Thor follows
Loki through the
portal, and then Loki
transports the
stones far away, getting rid of the evidence.
Thor then asks
Odin for permission to
go to Earth to search for the
stones. He arrives just in time to help
save Jane and run
off Enchantress
and Executioner.
Balder gets
Jane home, while
Thor begins searching
for the Stones,
where he is lead to Vietnam. He is then attacked by the Vietnamese, and
knocked unconscious. He awakens in a hut, surrounded by a family that
thinks Thor was sent by
Buddha to destroy the guerrillas.
Thor is then lead towards the
Stones
once more by Mjolnir,
but is hampered by his cape, so he changes to
Blake.
Loki is watching
though, and leads a group of guerrillas to him.
Blake
is captured and brought before
Hu Sak, who wants to know why he is there.
He doesn't answer, so the family from earlier is brought in.
Blake
manages to run off while
Hu Sak is distracted, and transforms to
Thor. Enraged,
Hu Sak
kills his own family, then realizes what he's done.
Thor rescues
Kim, the
only survivor, and flies her to safety. Back in the camp,
Hu Sak,
realizing that Communism killed his family, detonates all the mortar shells,
killing himself.

"To Kill a Thunder God!"

Synopsis:
Thor stops
to examine the Stones to make sure none are lost.
Loki then uses that
moment to strike. He causes a
renegade hunter to see
Thor and knocks him
out with an anesthetic shell.
Loki then causes
Asgardian relics to be
found around the
hunter's camp. This causes the
hunter to go off looking
for more treasure. He is then led by
Loki to the
Temple of Darkness, where
he discovers the Destroyer.
Thor wakes up and follows, and discovers that
the hunter's life force has activated the
Destroyer.
Thor begins
attacking, but realizes the Destroyer can also lift
Mjolnir.
Loki,
watching, realizes that he has outdone himself. If the
Destroyer kills
Thor, then
Odin will surely take a terrible vengeance. He goes to wake
Odin, but the guards prevent him from entering. The
Destroyer relentlessly
attacks Thor, then molecularly traps him in the floor.
Loki is trapped in
the Dungeon of No Escape, unable to do anything, while the
Destroyer fires a
bolt of elemental destructive force at the trapped
Thor.

"The Day of the Destroyer"

Synopsis:
Thor has
become completely unsolid, thanks to
Loki. This saves him, but he quickly
becomes solid again, because the strain was too great on
Loki. In
Asgard,
Loki uses the last of his strength to send a message to
Karnilla, The
Destroyer, realizing
Thor is solid again, begins attacking again.
Karnilla's message reaches
Odin, causing him to awaken.
Thor reaches the
hunter's body before the
Destroyer does, and bluffs him into returning to his
own body. The
Temple begins to collapse from their earlier battle, burying
the Destroyer.
Odin knows that it was
Loki that caused the
Destroyer to be
awakened, and sentences him to serve
Ularic.
Thor travels to America using
the Norn Stones, to see about repairing
Mjolnir, which was sliced in two in
battle with the Destroyer.

"With My Hammer In Hand...!"

Synopsis: Thor has gone to one of the foundries in Pittsburgh to reforge his hammer. Afterwards, Thor leaves for Asgard with the Norn Stones. accidentally dropping one of them. Loki attacks Ularic and imprisons him in his own time vault, and begins planning anew. Bored, Thor returns to Earth, only to find his office empty and Jane missing. The landlord tells him that his rent is months overdue, and Mrs Thaxton tells him that she is seeing someone else. Blake transforms back into Thor to try to find Jane. Thor goes to Avengers Mansion, but finds the new Avengers, not the ones he knows. Elsewhere, Jane stares out a window, while a shadowy figure tells her that she must forget him. In Asgard, Loki is searching space for something or someone. Loki finds it, and transports it to Earth in a spheroid. It races past Thor, then bursts open revealing the Absorbing Man.
