Abyss of Shadows
An underground chasm that divides the Kingdom of the Trolls from the subterranean Cavern of the Norns.  It is apparently bottomless.  Ulik the Troll, once hurtling down the abyss, found the Cave of Ages which opened out onto it.

Magical metal found in Olympus which is nearly indestructible.
 
Aesir - ay-zihr
The generic name given to the Norse gods.
 
Alfheim - al-fime

The dwelling place of only one class of Elves - the Light Elves
 
Althing                                 
Held in Thingvellir.  The Althing was generally held once a year, but would also be called in times of judgment.  It was many things - town meeting, trial, and trade fair.  Gnives called for a Weird at the Althing, and named the cost to the gods for the life of his son Holth.
 
Asgard
history of Asgard
 
Asgard, City of
Capital city of the land of Asgard, and home of the major gods of Earthly legend.  The Rainbow Bridge Bifrost leads to the city gates.
 
Asgard, Kingdom of
The land surrounding and encompassing the city of Asgard, nestled within the Asgard Mountains and the Sea of Marmora.  Except for the densely-populated city of Asgard, the kingdom is a rolling green meadow dotted with small farms.
 
Asgard Mountains
The ring of high, barren mountains encircling the kingdom of Asgard.   The outer fringes are inhabited by mountain giants, and the region underneath is inhabited by the Dwarfs under King Sindri.

Book that contains the prophecy of the Day of the Three Worlds.  Not much is known about it, although it is speculated that it was written by one, if not all, of the Enchanters (Magnir, Forsung, Brona, and Enrakt).

Cask of Sovereignity

Casket of Ancient Winters

Ancient casket containing the combined powers of all the previous winters.  Opening it can send the world into essentially a new ice age. 
 
Castle of Loki

Loki's home where the final trail is marked by dragonheads.  To reach it you must go through the Living Landslide, the Forbidden Forest, and finally across the Deadly Desert.
 
Castle of Slaggnbir

Floating castle of the Troll SlaggnbirUglitha would point unwary travelers down a path where Kossi, Unn, and Gertha would take the forms of beautiful women and ensnare them and eventually kill them.
 
Catacombs of Asgard
Ancient rooms and tunnels that honeycomb the ground beneath Asgard.
 
Cave of Thor's Hammer
Map of the area
A cave off the coast of Norway, where Gaea, Thor's mother, went when she gave birth to Thor.  This is also the same cave where Odin later placed the walking stick that was the disguised Mjolnir, and where Don Blake later found it and discovered his true heritage.
 
Caves of Ages
A cave hollowed in the deepest part of Asgard, probably as deep as Surtur is buried, in which Odin, ages ago, had imprisoned the Mangog.
 
Cavern of Time
A cave in the mountains on the border of Jotunheim which contains strange transtemporal passages to other times and dimensions.  Thor once emerged from the Cavern in the midst of the Trojan War, 4,000 years ago.
 
Chest of Strength

It lies at the bottom of the Crimson Waters, and contains a magic mirror that reflects the inner soul
 
Coals of the Cosmos

Enchanted brazier which can conjure images of anywhere in the universe and it envelops you entirely so it appears you are actually there.
 
Cobalt Cannon

Flying cannon, created by Damocles, using synthetic cobalt.  It fired blasts with enough concussive force, that it even knocked Thor out.  But synthetic cobalt is unstable, and it caused the cannon to explode.
 
Columbian Airlines flight 53

Flight over the Andes Mountains that was captured by Gammenon the Gatherer.  It's pilots were Phil and Dave and Nancy was the stewardess.  Among the passengers were Johnson and Ereshkigal in human disguise.
 
Compellor Beam

Device used by the Rigellians to place someone in custody, much like handcuffs.  It forces a person to go where the user wants.
 
Costa Verde

Small South American country that is undergoing a revolution led by El Lobo to overthrow President Elmirez.  The Gypsy uses a mystic stone to put Firelord and Thor under her spell to help them
 
Crimson Hand

A magical red glove given to Thor by Morduk, that when worn, and you grasp the hand of another, both people are compelled to tell only the truth.  Thor used this to uncover a plot by Loki to have him assassinated.
 
Crimson Waters

A pool that is somewhere in Jotunheim.  It is said that they are named that because they are heavy with the blood of those that have died in Jotunheim.   At it's bottom lies the Chest of Strength

Dark Nebula

Dark Sea

This underground kingdom is located near Asgard in the Asgard Mountains.  The Dwarfs make all of Asgard's enchanted weapons, and even fashioned Mjolnir, Thor's hammer.  Though in the past, they had entered into secret alliance with the Trolls, the Dwarfs are now Asgard's allies.

The Fimbul-winter will consist of three harsh winters in a row, without any intervening season, heralding the beginning of Ragnarok.
 
Fire of Geirrodur

Mystic flame, in which Odin placed a portion of Thor's essence.  Odin then kept this in case Thor himself was unable to fight on the day of Ragnarok, someone else could be infused with his essence, so that there would always be a Thor on that final day.

After the Living Landslide on the trail to the Castle of Loki.  Where living trees and vines lure the unwary with the pleasant scent into their deadly embrace.  After the forest, you had to cross the Deadly Desert.
 
Forces of Darkness

Legions of Trolls, Demons, and Giants, that will be led by Loki to attack Asgard on the day of Ragnarok.
 
Fourth Dimension

The "Fourth Dimension" is a world that somehow became reversed in polarity - stars turned black and the sky a brilliant white - and began to die.  In desperation, the people of that world sent an emissary to Earth to steal our planet's magnetic field in the hope that this would stabilize their existence, but that plan was foiled by Thor.  See also Mercurio and here.

Great Games

Games held by Odin in Asgard.  Using the Beacon of the Brave, everyone is summoned from all the Nine Worlds for the great prize of suits of golden armor.  The warriors are arranged into two teams, both with a pennant.  The first team whose pennant falls to the ground loses.  The use of magic and spells are forbidden, only steel and a good strong arm.  The losers have chance to regain the pennant by right of personal challenge.
 
Gundershelm - goon-der-shehlm
A land bordering the Kingdom of Asgard, under which is the Kingdom of the Trolls.  It contains the Glade of Crystals, where Thor was sent to capture the Unknown after it had escaped.

Hades

This is the underworld of the Olympians, where the dead spend eternity.
 
Harokin, Kingdom of
Harokin, a warrior who bore a striking resemblance to Thor except for his brown hair, once ruled a kingdom in the far south.  Once he invaded Muspelheim and sacked the Temple of Mystics. obtaining the Warlock's Eye, with which he conquered an outpost in Asgard itself.  He was defeated by Thor, mortally wounded, and taken by Hela to Valhalla.
Hel
1st appearance: Thor #176
The land of Hela, goddess of death.  It borders on Valhalla, and for a time Hela annexed the land of the honored dead to her own colder and gloomier realm.  She has since relinquished Valhalla.
 
Heliopolis
1st appearance: Thor #240
Heliopolis is the home of the gods of ancient Egypt.  To mortal eyes, the realm seems to take the form of a golden path through space.
 
Hidden Hills                                    
1st appearance: Journey Into Mystery #104
A desolate area of Asgard, where nothing has grown since a dragon breathed his fiery breath upon the land.  When they were young, Odin sent Thor, Balder, and Sif on a quest.  One of their tasks was to get a scale from the dragon Hakurei, that lived here.
 
Hindi
A mysterious barren land in the east.  Thor, Hogun, Fandral and Volstagg once sought out the hermit Wazir in their search for Zanadu.
 
Hlidskjalf - h-lid-ski-yalf

The seat on which Odin sits in his hall, Valaskjalf, and from which he can observe all the worlds.  Sometimes known as Hildstalf.
 
Hogun's Land
A small, verdant land separated by a mountain range from the Glowing Desert.  It had been conquered by Mogul from the Mystic Mountain, but was liberated by Thor and Hogun.
Hopsickle

Vehicle of choice for Justice Peace.  Features a variety of weapons and restraint devices, as well as the capacity to respond to his remote controls as well as hold a temporal charge allowing it to travel through time.
 
Hymir, Kingdom of - hi-meer
A land bordering on the Dark SeaKing Hymir was a treacherous king that Odin nevertheless wished to establish an alliance with, and so sent Thor and Loki in a diplomatic mission that nearly ended in tragedy.

Ice Caves

Frozen cave containing the Plague Cask.
 
Ice Giants, Land of
Originally the Ice Giants controlled all the North, from Varinheim to Hel, but Odin broke their power in the early years of the age.  Since then they have ruled Niffleheim, but even there, the Storm Giants rampage through at will.
 
Ida, Plains of - eeda
The vast, grassy plains that surround most of the city of Asgard.   It is there that Odin brought into being all the gods of Asgard at the beginning of the age.
 
Iduna, Abode of - ee-doona
The goddess of immortality lives beyond Asgard on the southern shore of the Sea of Marmora, between the Enchanted Forest and the Norn Forest.  Every year she makes the perilous journey to Asgard to bestow the apples of immortality on the gods of Asgard.
 
Institute for Oneirological Research

Institute dedicated to helping people with sleep disorders and the study of dreaming, directed by Eugene Beaumont.

Jennia Jewels

Beautiful jewels that comes from the Mines of Jennia.  The jewels apparently feed on emotions, there is a saying about them, "To possess too many, is to lose much more".  The jewels are actually the hearts of the Jennia that have passed on.
 
Jolena, Kingdom of - joel-enna
A small territory in the midst of bleak Skornheim ruled by Odin's one-time paramour, Jolena.
Jotunheim - yoot-un-hime

The Land of the Storm Giants.  It occupies a great space of land, though the land is mostly waste (partly because of the giants own depredations.)  It partially lies atop the subterranean kingdom of their remote kin, the Trolls.

Labyrinth of Terror

Cavern in the side of a mountain in the Last Viking Village.  They created traps using spears, deadfalls of rocks, spikes, bottomless pits, noxious fumes, flails, and volcanic flames to test their skills since they no longer had any enemies to battle.
 
Lake of Lilitha
1st appearance: Thor:Son of Asgard #5
Mystic lake that Odin sent Thor, Balder, and Sif on a quest to draw some water from.  Thor had to get past Leviathan to get there, but it was dried up by Karnilla.
 
Lakstad
1st appearance: Thor:Vikings #1
Small village on the west coast of Norway.  In 1003, it was raided and destroyed by Harald Jaekelsson.
 
Last Viking Village                     
1st appearance: Thor #342
Founded in 1066 after the defeat of Harald Hardraada.  When Harald was slain in the invasion of England, his warriors scattered.  Some took their families and fled far along the southern coasts, raiding where they could, living off the land.  There were 7 dragon ships, but storms and fighting cut them down, until 1 ship was driven by monstrous waves to a land of perpetual ice, unknown to them.  They took refuge in a large fjord and found that it did not end but became a cavern out of which flowed warm water.  They followed the cavern through to daylight, the ship struck a hidden rock and was lost.  The survivors, men and women, salvaged what they could and found that they had emerged in a large valley surrounded by impassable walls, and there they stayed, as did their children.  They created the Labyrinth of Terror to test their skills since they no longer had any enemies to battle.
 
Levianon

Gigantic ship, also called Worldship.  It was inhabited by people who were "attacked" by Sporr, in in fact, Sporr was taking the sick and old so it could care for them.

Living Landslide

Surrounded the trail to the Castle of Loki from Asgard.  The boulders that fall seem almost alive and malevolent.  After this, you had to cross through the Forbidden Forest.
 
Living Mask

Ibo Abua, that are being attacked and slaughtered by the Ngare, a neighboring tribe.  Dr Blake and Dr Lereaux travel there with Doctors Without Borders to try and help them.
 
Marmora, Sea of
The Sea of Marmora has a branch that extends right up to the city walls of Asgard itself.  Situated on a plateau, the Sea of Marmora's level is higher than that of Asgard.  It has flooded Asgard more than once.  The northern reaches of the sea are regularly frozen, and Asgardians ice-fish there, using reel-rifles.

The Mountain Giants hold the mountains on the outer periphery of Asgard.  They are ruled by Queen Knorda, who is normal sized and quite beautiful.   Since her defeat at Odin's hands, the Giants have been less of a threat, but still periodically ravage parts of Asgard.
Muspelheim - moo-spell-hime
The Land of Fire to the south of Asgard.  At the beginning of the age, it was the land where Surtur ruled.  It was left nearly uninhabited when Odin subdued him and banished him to the depths.
 
Mystic Mountain
A giant stalactite hanging in a cavern below the Glowing Desert, it contains the city of Zanadu.  It was once ruled by a being called Mogul, who enslaved the people of Hogun the Grim.  Upon his defeat, it became the realm of King Alibar, a former thief.
