Fantastic Four (1996)
"When Calls Galactus"

The Fantastic Four our out on the town, and signing autographs, trying to cheer Johnny up over losing Crystal.   A beautiful redhead asks Johnny for his autograph, and sign it to Frankie Raye.   She gives him a kiss, which is the catalyst that activates her latent flaming powers.  They go back to FF headquarters to find out exactly what happened.   Then Torch and Frankie fly off, only to have Terrax, Galactus' herald, arrive on Earth.  Terrax attacks the FF, and defeats them by using his powers over the earth, to lift the entire island of Manhattan into space.  Sue is forced to use her powers to create a field to keep in the air over the entire island.  Terrax wants the FF to destroy Galactus, and free him from servitude.  Galactus has been severely depleted of energy after Terrax tricked him into consuming a planet of anti-life.  When Galactus arrives, Reed, Ben, and Johnny go to Galactus' ship.  When Terrax does not hear the sounds of battle, he goes to investigate, assuming the Galactus is to weak to defend himself.  The heroes then engage Terrax in battle, and every time Terrax expends his power, Galactus absorbs it.  Galactus then defeats Terrax and sends him plummeting down to the Earth.   Galactus is too weak though, and starts to consume the Earth because he has no time to go anywhere else.  But Thor and Ghost Rider arrive, and together with the FF, they defeat Galactus, to the point of his death.  Reed saves Galactus, and tells him that he can help him locate a planet, but Galactus states that he could not find it in time without a herald.  Frankie Raye steps forth and offers to become his herald if he will spare the Earth.  Galactus then transforms Frankie into Nova, his new herald.   And they leave the Earth, with Galactus stating that he will never again bother this planet.
