Origin: Thialfi was born centuries ago in an unknown village in Europe. During an attack by some invading Viking's Thialfi's mother (P'aesi) and his father were slain while attempting to flee from the Vikings. Thor witnessed the death of Thialfi's mother and took her body to the battle field to be burned in a bon fire. After setting her down Thialfi runs over screaming, "Momma!" Thor feels responsible for the Vikings murders being that they worship him. He beseeches Odin to appear before him. Odin appears before Thor and tells his son that mortal affairs are best left to mortals. He tells Thor, "True I could lash out at those who did this in an effort to teach them the error of their ways. But man will come much farther if he learns that lesson on his own." Thor begs Odin to act on the newly orphaned child's behalf. Odin appeases his son and says the child, Thialfi, will come with them to live in Asgard. He transforms Thialfi from human to Asgardian and enchants him with the following: "Wisdom, insight, and speed enow to escape any enemy." Odin tells Thor to find Thialfi a home in Asgard with a kind family, and when Thialfi is old enough to bring him into the fold. Many centuries later in present times Thialfi becomes the newly crowned King Thor's advisor. Thialfi stands with Asgard during the battle between Asgard and New York, after Thor moved Asgard to Earth. During a battle with the time traveling Zarrko, Thialfi is sent into the future to the year 2170. Upon arriving he is confused and disoriented, but eventually is discovered by Loki and brought to the royal palace. He rejoins his Asgardian friends in this new time and enjoys a celebration in honor of his return. Soon after arriving Thialfi travels to Spain with Magni to stop some an uprising. Thialfi is surprised at how much anger the people of the future have towards Thor. Not too long after that Thialfi is contacted by Kya, daughter of the Scarlet Witch, leader of the resistance. The resistance wants to overthrow Thor. Kya shows Thialfi how bad things are because of Thor, and the remains of Jake Olsen which rest next to Mjolnir. Thialfi eventually, somewhat reluctantly, joins the resistance. He believes that Thor has changed and helps the resistance in an attack on New Asgard. He assaults Thor seconds before Thor was to enter the Odinsleep to rejuvenate himself. Kya mystically seals all the doors to the room they are in. Thialfi and Thor have a brief sword fight in which Thialfi gets in some good shots. Had Thialfi not been so talkative he could've killed Thor. Eventually the Enchantress gets one of the doors open and lets one of Thor's wolves in. The wolf immediately pounces on Thialfi killing him.
