Melter, Black Knight 2 {all deceased}), Masters of Evil 2 (Ultron, Klaw, Whirlwind), the
Titanic Three (Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo 3 {deceased}), Masters of Evil 3 (Egghead
{deceased}, Scorpion, Moonstone 2, Shocker, Beetle, Tiger Shark), Mandarin, Lightmaster,

Fighting Skills: Average hand-to-hand combatant
Special Skills/Abilities: Brilliant nuclear physicist;
expert on effects of radiation on the human body, including mutation
Superhuman physical powers: Aside from the above listed
attributes, the Radioactive Man has the ability to absorb nuclear radiation without harm;
ability to manipulate and project radioactive particles for various effects, including
radiation emission as heat (sufficient to incinerate a city block), "hard"
radiation (inflicting opponents with nausea, dizziness, and radiation poisoning), blinding
hypnotic light, or beams of radioactive energy, strength enhancement, and erection of
force fields strong enough to repel Thor's hammer.
Superhuman Mental Powers: none
Special Limitations: The Radioactive Man emits nuclear
radiation in direct proportion to the level of superhuman strength exerted and emits a
certain level of radiation even at rest. Only when wearing his null-radiation body
harness can he remain safely in the presence of unshielded persons for more than short
periods of time.
Source of Superhuman Powers: Mutation by exposure to
radiation
Personal Weaponry: (former) Paste-gun loaded with
Adhesive-X, the most powerful known adhesive
Origin: Dr. Chen Lu was a respected nuclear physicist for the Communist Party of the People's Republic of China. When the Thunder God Thor foiled a Chinese military incursion into India, the Chinese government, which at that time was hostile to the West, called upon its scientists and military strategists for a way to defeat Thor, who seemed to be the capitalist world's champion. Chen Lu had already been experimenting for several years with a way of harnessing nuclear radioactivity to induce superhuman powers in human beings. Chen Lu volunteered to become China's human weapon against the West, concealing his own aspirations of world conquest. Having already spent months immunizing himself to the harmful effects of radiation, Chen Lu exposed himself to massive doses of specific-particle radiation. After impressing his superiors with a demonstration of the new powers he had developed, Chen Lu, calling himself the Radioactive Man, traveled to New York City to challenge Thor. Upon his defeat, he managed to escape deportation back to China, and went into hiding until Baron Heinrich Zemo located him and enlisted him in the Masters of Evil. This criminal group, and its later incarnation organized by Ultron, met defeat at the hands of the Avengers. Years later, Chen relocated to Southeast Asia, where he briefly teamed with the third Crimson Dynamo and the Titanium Man and the Titanic Three, champions of Eastern Communism. This group eventually encountered the Avengers, and met defeat. Living in disgrace for some time, the Radioactive Man was contacted by Elihas Starr (alias Egghead) and agreed to join yet another incarnation of the Masters of Evil. When Dr Henry Pym defeated the group, the Radioactive Man was taken into custody by the U.S. government for deportation.
