Origin: Ikaris was born about two thousand years ago to two members of the Polar Eternals, an evolutionary offshoot of humanity who possess long life-spans and cosmic powers, Ikaris was raised and educated in Polaris, the Eternal settlement in Siberia, and given special tutoring in history, art, and world languages. His mother, a scientist, died in a teleportation experiment when Ikaris was 300 years old. his father, a missionary, died battling a mutated earth-worm when Ikaris was 1,010. His uncle Valkin assumed custody of him until he reached the Eternal age of adulthood, 1,500. Ikaris pursued his interest in ancient art, posing as an archaeologist, beginning in the year 1823. Frequently working incognito with members of the human scientific community, Ikaris was assigned by Zuras, leader of the Eternals, to prepare the landing site of the Fourth Celestial Host in Peru. Ikaris traveled there in the guise of a human (so as not to alert the Eternals' ancient enemies, the Deviants), accompanied by hi human colleague, Dr Daniel Damien and his daughter Margo, Ikaris is now one of the few remaining Eternals on Earth.
